jessy summer recap

 Jessy's summer recap:
This summer started off with our Church's Jr. High summer camp up near Yosemite. It was a great time of hearing the gospel preached and spending time with my group of 8th graders. I learned that camp games can never be too ridiculous when the staff brought out a cow's head and tongue for some extra "fun".  When i got home it was right back to work shooting a couple of weddings alongside my Mom, and then it was off to our annual Lake Powell trip! Since i wouldn't know where to start with telling all the unforgettable things that happened this summer I'll just list a couple of the Pro's and Con's (although there really aren't Con's)

Pro's
1) Getting to spend lots of time with all the younger siblings and cousins, as I was the oldest of the Dodson/Ardo/West kids on the trip. They are hilarious and a blast. And I'm thankful to have been able to grow closer to each of them.
2) Getting to wake up with the sunrise everyday.
3) No cellphone service.
4) This list could go on forever.

Con's
1) Missing the Cramer's, Kyle, Johnny, and Lissy. It was so different not having them there at Powell but i know they were having an equally amazing time in Albania and Czech running summer camps and exploring over seas. 
2) Having Five bats live with us in the houseboat. (although grandma and aunt michelle's reaction to them was priceless) 
3) That the trip ended to soon!!! 

It was nice to have a break and spend time with family and friends but we are excited to get our fall season going!
