Ketchup post!

Cannot believe that it is August 29th, school has started, summer is basically over, its almost september...its all so crazy! After almost 2 months of traveling and vacation, we are back together and are ready to get our fall season going. (more info below photos)

Here's a summer recap from the both of us!

This summer, I (Lissy) went to Albania for about 6 weeks. My sister Kristine, her husband Cory, and the cutest little niece in the world, moved there this past June to be missionaries. They work with the youth in a city called Pogradec, which is on the biggest lake in the Balkans and Macedonia is clear across on the other side.

Because this trip cannot be explained in anything less than a million words...some highlights:

1. English camp - this summer there were 4 english camps. we invite kids, they come to have fun and learn english, we share the gospel, we see kids give their lives to the Lord, we disciple, we tent, we find snakes, we play volleyball, we get soaked in torrential downpours, we dance, we eat bread and nutella for breakfast every morning, we get sick, we have to take laxatives, we make the best friendships with kids who barely speak english...we have THE BEST TIME. we had 4 of these camps with 4 different awesome teams that came from the states.
2. Spending time with Kristine & Cory - truly the greatest friends. i could never get tired of spending time with them. I loved getting to see what their new home is like, getting to know the people they will be working with, experiencing Albanian grocery shopping with Kristine and watching her learn to gut fish.
3. Spending hours with Shiloh belle - i love this little girl so much. the most loved on baby I have ever known. This little babe has people that want to kiss and hug her...ALL OVER THE WORLD.
4. Greek & Albanian food
5. The best espresso in the world
6. Going to Greece & Macedonia for American team debriefs

bummed to have missed our family's annual trip to Lake Powell (which you will hear about from Jessy tomorrow), but so thankful for such an awesome time in Albania. here are some iPhone photos from my time there :)
